|
|
| |
|
Are employment ads really free? |
|
Yes. Basic listings are free, this includes up to 1,000 characters in
the description are. |
|
|
| |
|
When I hit submit the system won't allow my posting, why? |
|
You need to read the dialogue box that pops up when you click 'submit' to
determine which field is in error. Certain fields are mandatory and if
they are not filled out correctly your posting won't be submitted. |
|
|
| |
|
Why do I get the message that my job description must not exceed 1,000
characters when I try to submit my job posting when it does not? |
|
Our system calculates spaces as characters. If you remove unnecessary
spaces and returns and try again. |
|
|
| |
|
Why is there a maximum of 1,000 characters for job postings? |
|
Our service is free, to conserve disc space and keep it fair for all posters
a limit was set that should allow a fairly thorough job description.
For those that require additional space, it may be purchased at a rate of
only $5 per page the ad appears on--see the "Job Posting Embellishments"
area of the Job Posting Form. |
|
|
| |
|
Why did I receive an e-invoice for
my job posting? |
|
If you receive an email invoice for your job posting it is because you have
requested an added "Embellishment" to your ad beyond our basic job posting. |
|
|
| |
|
Can I ad a logo to my employment ad? |
|
Yes, additional embellishments including logos, graphics, colours, scrolling
marquis and more are available for a small additional fee per page that your
ad appears on. See the "Embellishments" area at the bottom of the
job posting form. |
|
|
| |
|
I requested extra features in my ad that did not appear on your site? |
|
If you request extra features or embellishments, such as a different colour
background, scrolling marquis, or an image logo be added to your job
posting, but they do not appear on our site, there are a few possible
reasons for this:
- When you completed the Job Posting Form you selected to the option:
"I DO NOT agree to pay for additional features for my job posting"
rather than the option which indicates you do intend to pay for these
extra embellishments. If this is the case and you still wish to have
extra features added to your posting
contact us by email indicating which features you would like to add
and we will be happy to oblige. Please be very specific about your
existing job posting, including the Job Title, company name, job
classification page(s) the ad appears on and the date (bottom-left corner)
the ad was posted.
- There is an outstanding (unpaid) invoice already associated with your
company. Terms are net upon receipt.
- If you did agree to pay for extra features, an invoice was emailed to
your contact email address and that invoice was either rejected or unpaid.
If for some reason you did not receive your invoice, please
contact us.

Why do you invoice for extra features and advertising? |
|
We invoice our clients after the job posting or advertisement passes through

level of confidence for clients making payments online.
|
|
|
| |
|

however, PayPal does not require you to be a member in order to use their
online payment system. If you choose to pay by cheque, please ensure

|
| |
|
Why wasn't my ad published? |
|
There are many reasons why an ad would not be published as outlined in our
Publication Policy. These
stringent guidelines are intended to create a better experience for the job
seeker visiting TorontoJobClassifieds.com, and therefore improve results for
those submitting jobs to our site. Ads that do not contain authentic
contact information, vulgar language, questionable job descriptions, spammy
content, adult only opportunities, or require payment, detailed personal
information in the job application (ie/bank account or other confidential
information) may not be published.
Multiple submissions from one employer for a job description that is
essentially the same may not be published/republished within 30 days.
Job Postings that contain substantively similar information from many
submitters may not be posted.
Advertisers that order added cost embellishments to their postings and
default on their invoices may be prohibited from future free postings.

| |
|
I requested that my job posting be placed on several job classification
pages, but it only appeared on the "Work From Home" page, why is that? |
|
In order for free employment ads to appear in our job classification pages,
they must appear to our editors to be plausible employment opportunities.
At TorontoJobClassifieds.com we differentiate between employment
opportunities and business opportunities based on a few factors, including:
Up-front fee for opportunity, internet-based jobs with no apparent
management hierarchy, home-based piece-work or resale opportunities with no
apparent management hierarchy. Ultimately, our publication policy
gives our editors ultimate discretion as to where your free ad will be
placed in order to best meet our users' needs and expectations. |
