Looking for ‘FUN’ volunteer work! We have some exciting opportunities for you. We need some energetic individuals for our Annual multicultural event, Festival of India. It is held every year in Toronto for past 35 years & is one of the largest festivals in North America. You can be a part of this year’s festivities & gain some valuable ‘Event-Management’ experience.

Award Show Volunteer
Dora Mavor Moore Awards

DOWNTOWN

Drivers: Pick-up donated food from restaurants and deliver it to the After Party venue. The driver stays in the car while the food runner goes into the restaurant.
VIP Reception Crew: Help set up the VIP Reception venue for the event and restore the space after the event. Volunteers should be in good physical health.
Greeters: Provide a friendly greeting to all guests as they enter the lobby and help guide them to the theatre entrance, washrooms etc.
Party Crew: Assist in transfer of food from the kitchen to tables pre-party and during the party. Assist with filling of trays and ensuring the party area looks well tended.


All volunteers will be required to attend a volunteer orientation session taking place in May. Volunteers will also be required to attend a separate volunteer meeting in June and must be available on June 30, 2008, the date of the Dora Award Show ceremony.
